Well well WELL WELL WELL, sucks to be Chelsea. Losing to a promoted side one week and then crushed at home by a title rival the next. It’s almost like they’re not perfect. No, no, that’s crazy talk. To me the best part of that game, aside from hearing a pin drop at the legendary Samsung Bridge had to be either Meireles bailing out of his defensive responsibilities and contributing to the loss (get a haircut, dickhead), Mertesacker being terrible one v. one like so many called in advance, and of course England’s Brave Jim Crow falling on his face and setting up the losing goal.
Especially after he scored earlier in the game, which somehow let him off the hook for peeling back time to the 1950s.
Arsenal are right back in the thick of the fourth and third place race now. City kept pulling away from their early title rivals, nine and five points up at the just-past-the-quarter-pole mark. Have we really played ten games? I guess so, or else the table maker is kind of a bastard.
And we got the Carling Cup draw! And of course United got handed a waltz to the final, because they’ve earned it damnit. Liverpool now get to travel to Chelsea for two matches in ten days, with a City match in the middle. Just lovely. As if I didn’t hate Chelsea enough. And some may wonder why I do, and my reasons range from petty to logical to spiteful to nonsensical, and I’ll defend them until the day I die. In a hail of gunfire running on to the pitch to punch Ashley Cole in the junk. Remember me as I was.
Truncated post today as I ended up drinking and watching a movie about Nazi zombies last night and came home to my computer being frozen, that dog just wasn’t gonna hunt at three in the morning. Your Eastern listings follow. Come on Joey Barton!
