If Ross County manager Derek Adams was paying attention this weekend he learned a very important lesson: if you want to take points from a match you have to start “ATD’s own Mark Corcoran.” © The Staggies have played three league matches thus far in the 2011-2012 season, winning one, drawing one, and losing one. Mark Corcoran was in the starting line-up for the win and the draw, but he did not enter the record tying loss to Hamilton Academical until the 74th minute, by which point the club was down 4-0 and playing with only 10 men. It might have been a coincidence, but it’s worth noting that County scored its only goal of the Hamilton match a mere three minutes after Coco entered as a substitute.
The club’s 1-1-1 record gives them enough points to be in fourth place, but thanks to the smack-down they received from the Accies their goal differential drops them down to seventh place. Still, they’re only three points off the lead, so there’s no need to panic- yet. The Staggies return to action tomorrow night in the League Cup…against Hamilton Academical before they resume league play this weekend against Falkirk.

Go go Coco!
Bah, 74th minute seems a kind of a waste. Give him the whole day off or at least give hi a half to work his Coco Magic.
