Last week saw nine Major League Soccer games, and also saw only two draws. Which if that pattern continues, means that our Pick’Em should be a bit more interesting this year. We are happy to welcome three new players in the Pick’Em this week: Mike B., weeszel, and Murphy. Mike B. and weeszel, along with regular Bluesfan, all got five picks correct this week; good enough for 2nd place. Our “Collective Wisdom” for picks during Week 2 saw us drop off from last week’s 43.16% to 39.51%. Starting next week, I will see if we are doing any better picking particular teams’ wins/losses.
And even though I receive absolutely no referral bonuses, I will once again remind you that today is the last day to pay for the Match Day Live package at a reduced rate of just under $40. This allows you to watch games on your computer, subject to some blackout restrictions. It also provides you with the chance to watch games up to two days later if you’re busy during the live broadcast.
For this week, MLS again sees a Friday night game, but extends the games to Sunday as well. Chicago Fire and Real Salt Lake, have the weekend off, and no teams are playing twice, at least in MLS games. Remember all times are Eastern and a few teams that aren’t listed on the national channels may have a local broadcast available to you.
Finally, next week will have games played on Wednesday night, so look for the Pick’Em to show up on Tuesday if you want to get picks in on all the games. Enjoy your Major League Soccer this weekend and good luck with your picks.
