The fixture list isn’t usually that interesting a topic; games come and go, an inevitable force moving forward towards the end of the season, and the order they occur in doesn’t typically matter. For Chelsea, however, there’s an interesting quirk: most of those games for the next month aren’t going to be played on Saturday.

[East Oregonian] NASL has apparently been sanctioned back to second tier league status here in the States. [My SanAntonio] Jair Benitez of FC Dallas [...]

It has been a week of off-field news this week in the Barclay’s Premier League. England defeated Denmark on Wednesday in the friendly, 2-1, behind the Aston Villa lads Darren Bent and Ashley Young. More importantly, no players sustained injuries, so we were spared the endless whining and moaning from the club managers over the [...]
For Your Reading Pleasure: Sid Lowe and Xavi

As I’ve said before, I personally think that Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez is one of the best players in the world. He’s not the “flash” player on any of his teams, I’ll grant you that; his speed is average, his height is nonexistant, and there are times where he may appear a little rotund. But [...]
