I was going to make this week’s questions a little less challenging than last weeks, but I just couldn’t do it. So, instead, I reduced them in number. This week there are only six of them and I consider two of them to be the kind that you could answer without doing any research. The others, well, you’ll see…
1. Using the rosters of the MLS playoff teams (L.A., S.J., Dallas, and Colorado) give me a list of as few players as possible who have played matches in the following 10 leagues: Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A (Italy), Primera Division (Argentina), Eredivisie, Scottish Premier League, Ligue 1, Serie A (Brazil), Primera Division (Mexico). In case you are wondering, I can do this with four players.
2. Since the year 2000, in what states (plus Washington D.C.) does the USMNT have a perfect record- no draws, no losses?
3. During that same period, what is the only state in which the USMNT has a losing record?
4. I am the all-time assists leader in my league and I am more than 100 ahead of the man in second place- who am I?
5. Only one player has played for three of the traditional “Big Four” (Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea) in the Premier League- who is he?
6. Who is the only player in the Russian Premier League who is currently eligible to play for the U.S. at the national level?
As always, please send your answers to avoidingthedrop@gmail.com before midnight on Tuesday.
Good luck!
