If I’ve learned anything as a teacher it’s that your students will hold you to what you say/write even if- especially if- you make a mistake. What you “meant” doesn’t really carry any weight with them even if they know- especially if they know- that you made a mistake. Guess what? I made a mistake.
At the end of last week’s Thursday Challenge I requested that you have your answers to me by midnight on Wednesday, when I meant “Tuesday”- so that I could post them the following morning…Wednesday. Anyway, I’ll post last week’s answers tomorrow along with the new challenge. In the meantime, for those of you who keep forgetting to send your answers my way, this can serve as a reminder. Here are the questions once again:
1. Bert Patenaude and Claudio Reyna.
2. Bobby Moore, Ronaldo, and Paolo Rossi.
3. This “country” only existed for long enough to make one attempt to qualify for the World Cup- they didn’t make it.
4. Brazil v. Sweden
5. Jim Leighton, Carlos Jose Castilho, Lev Yashin, Enrico Albertosi, Sepp Maier, Dino Zoff, Emerson Leao, Enzo Scifo, Andoni Zubizarreta, Jacues Songo’o, Mohamed Al-Deayea, Kasey Keller, Oliver Khan, Lee Woon-Jae, Gianluigi Buffon, Yoshikatus Kawaguchi, and Seigo Narazaki.
6. Sean Connery, Sean Bean, Michael Caine, and Pierce Brosnan.
7. This is the only country in its confederation that has never played in a World Cup.
8. Spain, 1982, 8 minutes.
9. Sandor Kocsis, Just Fontaine, and Gerd Müller.
10. One word- “skiffle.”
So, yeah, that happened. See you tomorrow.

Meh, even with the inadvertent extension, I’ve got no hope of completing the assignment. Save yourself the trouble, Teach, and give me the ‘F’ now.
I sent mine in first thing this morning, since I forgot last night (as usual).
