Woohooo! We’re only nine days away from the greatest sporting event in the world. All of us here at ATD are working hard to help prepare you for what will be a month of amazing soccer. Tonight brings a wide variety of sports, Major League Soccer, French Open Tennis without Serena Williams or Roger Federer, WNBA basketball(a double header on ESPN2 no less!). Hockey playoffs continue later with the Blackhawks in the driver’s seat and looking to make it 3-0 against the Flyers. And the Lakers and Celtics will start their battle for the 2010 rings tomorrow.
Good News for this week: Researchers in Cleveland have developed a vaccine that may prevent breast cancer. And, the economic outlook for the midwest is postive. And Roy Halladay pitched the second perfect game in a month for Philadelphia. What’s up with all of you? Share your thoughts, news, recipes, and anything else below. But please remember, your mom doesn’t live here so clean up after yourselves.

But, but, the Stanley Cup Finals are already on….
I am still at work (no television here) on the West Coast….the Blackhawks website said 7:00pm faceoff… which I assumed was Central time. Sorry.
But please remember, your mom doesn’t live here so clean up after yourselves.
Or you could get ballsy and try to sweep it into the monkey room. But I wouldn’t advise that, folks.
Rafa Out?
Congratulations (if true) Georger.
Yo.
What’s the MLS TV situation tonight?
Blackhawks-Flyers at 7 on Versus.
Oh, wait…you were referring to the other American sports league no one allegedly watches.
Nothing on the major networks. You might have to look to MSG if you have that for the Red Bulls/Dynamo game. No idea on the other one.
Or online options.
Ah, so that would be nothing.
No MLS on TV tonight…only MLS Direct Kick.
If you really have a hankering for MLS, DCU is streaming their US Open Cup game against RSL live online.
Oh joy, an NYRB game. Yippee.
Snakes and Dodgers are tied at 0 on the MLB Network right now.
Oh, and it’s the bottom of the 14th.
Phew. Got my picks in just under the wire. Damned RSS feed sucks.
This damned sisyphean quest may actually be ending. Thumbs crossed.
that’s good news.
Yeah, that job that I’m wildly qualified for and would absolutely love to do, just had two more openings. There was a 3 day window to get your name in and I did. I can only pray that I get an interview. I interview really well, and from what I gather the HR woman is 35 single and good looking. Though I suppose that last part technically might not help me.
You’re due. Good luck.
Thanks man.
I’ll be watching multiple episodes of “Wanted: Dead or Alive” and creating the new Thursday Challenge if anyone needs me.
This week’s challenge: Name your starting 11 who have committed criminal acts! (I seem to remember we had a question on that subject matter months ago.)
Go on, though, exclude England and really make it a challenge.
Or you could capitalize on the sure fire search terms tomorrow (blown call) and go after a challenge involving bad/blown calls etc.
A round on the house for the Tigers’ Armando Galarraga who just lost a perfect game on a blown call at first.
Get ready to hear the name Jim Joyce a lot in the next few days.
Yikes, what should have been another perfect game. This year is unreal.
i hate migraines
Seconded
really, i haven’t felt this bad in a long time. I’m laying on an ice pack to keep my neck from seizing (and to keep my neck straight). although i’m a bit better now, i was too sick to move for about an hour.
Affirmed.
This is turning into one hell of a sports night.
i’m pissed at this migraine – it’s making teh intarwebs really uncomfortable because it hurts to laugh.
Today’s Sports Illustrated describes USMNT coach Bob Bradley as, “…a more European-style X’s and O’s coach…”
I don’t even know where to begin…
“european style X’s and O’s”
them gots fancy spaghetti-o’s over there.
More Euorpean then…. a monkey’s ass? Bill Parcells? Bruce Arena? Rafa Benitez?
