So Andrew M. slaves away on the internets to bring us this very special challenge…and nobody steps up to take it? In the words of my father, “I’m not mad…I’m just disappointed.” Nevertheless, here are the answers:

1. Dick's Sporting Goods Park: Colorado Rapids

2. Pittodrie Stadium: Aberdeen F.C.

3. International Stadium (Yokohama-Nissan): Yokohama F. Marinos

4. Ellis Park Stadium (Coca-Cola Stadium): Orlando Pirates/WC 2010

5. Allianz Arena: F.C. Bayern Munich

6.Philipstadion: PSV Eindhoven

7. Azadi Stadium: Iranian National Team

8. Karaiskakis Stadium: Olympiakos

9. Mestella: C.F. Valencia

10. Turf Moor: Burnley F.C.

11. Richmond Park: St. Patrick's Athletic F.C.

12. Luzhniki Stadium: CSKA & Spartak Moscow
I’ll be back tomorrow with a new challenge- unless Andrew’s constant crying makes it impossible for me to concentrate on my work.

Good luck fellas.
I love these ones. Mostly because they take FOR-EVER to complete, but it’s
a reminder of how much damned leisure time you really have, which is depressingunbelievably gratifying when you get them all right.I have three. Two easy, one not so much. The other nine will be tricky – mostly because I don’t have any idea where you’re coming from on this challenge…
I tried to have a decent mix of leagues from around the world, and some international venues as well. Don’t worry, there’s nothing from the Lithuanian 4th division or anything. I took my cues from Bird’s Eye View v1.0.
That would be something I would do – fourth-division stadia, I mean.
I just need to figure out which leagues I haven’t combed extensively over yet…may take awhile regardless.
12 is the stadio olimpico
1) No, it’s not. And
2) Answers don’t go in the comments.
Yep, I only had three (1, 5, 11), and wasn’t going to get the others any time soon. Good challenge.
Props for finding St. Pat’s. I figured that’d be the hardest since the Eircom League…well, it sucks.
These ones absolutely kill me. Well done, Andrew!
I REALLY wanted to do this challenge as they are my absolute favorite. I even had 5 quickly identified (1, 3, 5, and 7). When I went to finish it last night, the link was broken (http://avoidingthedrop.com/2010/04/15/the-thursday-challenge-birds-eye-view-2-0-edition/). Still a 404 at the moment.
Gutted. I’ll have to come up with my own 3.0 Edition for you guys I suppose.
And I can’t count. 4.
I think there was a “404″ error because this is really just last week’s quiz with a new publish date. Fuse must’ve edited it last night for publication today.
You are correct! I had a bit of a “time issue”* last night.
*fell asleep on the couch for almost four hours.
“So Andrew M. slaves away on the internets to bring us this very special challenge…and nobody steps up to take it?”
It wasn’t for lack of trying. I managed to identify half of them (1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 12) before running out of time. I knew I’d seen #9 before but thought it was Villareal’s ground for some reason. This one was fun though. Keep ‘em coming!
And remember, kids, I do give partial credit, so send along whatever you have in the future, even if it’s not complete.
