It’s a newsy notes kind of morning, because quite frankly, there’s so much going on right now it’s hard to just talk about one thing.

So it’s a full-rich day of football on television, which benefits us all. The Fox Soccer Channel hi-def situation is still murky. It would appear that despite it being available now, not all carriers have added it. I know for a fact when I changed over to it Thursday afternoon, there was one of those “bugs” that said “FSC HD”, but I haven’t seen it since and thus, I have no idea what we’ll see from today’s Birmingham-Spurs or Burnley-Chelsea matches. Stay tuned is the best advice I can give you. Here’s the sked.

It’s going to be a long season in Revolutionland.
Given what’s happened in the last few weeks I’m glad I’ve been wavering on buying a season ticket…
Liverpool have managed to avoid completely humiliating themselves and their fanbase today…although maybe this is too early to say that, since there’s still four minutes left.
COUNTY!!!!!!
1-0 over first place Dundee @ Dundee!
The Staggies are now six points out of first place with THREE games in hand over Dundee.
WOOOOOOOOO!
Rather incredible that County can go from relegation battle to fighting for first this season
They played their worst football at the end of the year last year and that dropped them from mid-table towards the bottom, but then they made some really good signings in the offseason and Derek Adams has proven himself to be a manager to watch- there was talk at him going to Motherwell a few weeks ago, but they ended up keeping Craig Brown on through the end of the season. My guess is that even if offered the job Adams sees that bringing County to the SPL might get him a better job than ‘well in the future.
I’m not sure that you can call what Barcelona plays “football”. It’s so scary how good their first teamers are.
Anyone else catch the tremendous booing when Terry scored that game-winner?
2-0, and Fulham only really threatened Villa once or twice all game. Dempsey really had become the team’s creative fulcrum, it seems.
