We definitely need another 2nd half run to consolidate what little we’ve really gained – 6 positions, but ONLY 3 points. Other thought – the EPL is slowly dividing into 2 separate leagues. One league has the money, at least temporarily, to stay in the top half of the table, and then there’s the unwashed poor half who just hope to stay up, with the cut-off being between 10 and 11 (Sunderland-Ellis, and Stoke-who?). Pompey is probably the only one who seemingly doesn’t fit, but whoever owns them today clearly is not putting any of whatever riches they have into the team…
