Happy New Year, Gary Megson. You’re sacked.

Preston North End might be looking, Gary.
Megson, who was lustily booed after the Trotters gave up a two-goal cushion to Hull City yesterday and ended up getting a 2-2 draw, was sacked this morning. He becomes the second manager sacked in two weeks (following Mark Hughes’ departure from Manchester City), and the third this season.
Bolton have put some assistants in charge of the side for this weekend’s FA Cup match with Lincoln City. I’m sure the typical names will start coming up if and when they choose to name a new manager. Alan Curbishley, Hughes, Paul Jewell, Sir Alex Ferguson. You know. All the typical names.
Bolton currently sits 18th in the table and apparently the draw with Hull City was enough for the chairman. It remains to be seen if they’ll make any moves in January but firing Megson just before the transfer period seems to indicate that they had seen enough from him and would want someone else in charge of that process. Ah well, good luck to ye, Gary.
They’ve hated Megson pretty much since he got there, which is kind of unfortunate; all things considered, he’s doing about as well as one would expect Bolton could do.

Already threw it into ALN; oddly enough, earlier today they were talking about how they thought they’d have their transfer embargo lifted within a week.
I can’t believe Liverpool lost to this team.
I’m doing some digging because this is absolutely fascinating to me, and it’s going to be interesting for Pompey. I could write a book on my thoughts right now.
Nooo not Gary Megson!!!!
Bolton will still find a way to stay up, hire a boring manager, and continue to be the worlds most boring team.
