We’re lucky to live in a world that includes such a beautiful game. Despite all the trappings that go with it, it’s still the most amazing of sports. 22 competitors, two goals and one ball. No hands allowed, and let’s go.
On this Christmas day, as we begin to look back on a year and a decade that were simply amazing, let’s give thanks for what we have and what we will get to experience. Enjoy the day, enjoy your families, enjoy the festivities and if you can find a match, enjoy it too. We have an amazing year ahead of us and that’s something to look forward to.
I will be enjoying the Boxing Day traditions tomorrow. Boxing Day in England (and Canada) is quite a big event, especially in the footy realm. Up and down the country, just about every team will be competing. The festive period is quite busy, as for some sides, they will play tomorrow and then turn around and play again on Monday. We have the FA Cup starting up in earnest in January. The rest of the season and then the World Cup. My gosh, I cannot wait.
Happy Christmas, everyone, and to my co-authors, the best of days to you and yours. Cheers!
