Like me, I’m sure you’re all busy enjoying the season of getting giving, so this week’s challenge will be short and to the point. Each “item” has something to do with the holiday, tell me what it is:
- John Gregory.
- A club that plays in the Kiribati National Championship.
- 2nd Battalion The Royal Welch Fusiliers v. 134th Saxon Infantry Regiment
- Tipperary, Chard, Chipping Sodbury, and Nuneaton
- Their home ground is Eaton Park, Norwich.
Good luck and I’ll see you in a week…

OK, that picture is going to taunt me for a while. I’ve researched the obvious clue located therein, and I’m getting nothing beyond that…aargh.
Also, for the Tipperary, Chard, Chipping Sodbury, and Nuneaton – are these in reference to the cities, or to football teams located therein?
Apparently I’m in need of another word for “therein” today as well…
I’m pretty sure I got the Nuneaton clue, and it refers to the club, not the city. The other three I’m still stuck on.
Also, the answer I have for Eaton Park has no connections to the holidays.
I figured out the other three in connection with Nuneaton. Get one, you’ll get them all.
I’ve figured out Eaton Park. It’s a doozy.
But not as doozy as that PICTURE. I now know more about a certain league than I did coming into today, but I know as much as I did about that picture coming in.
I’m sure Fuse is cackling in his study as he reads
this threada first-edition print of A Christmas Carol, stopping every so often to refill his snifter with fine brandy and to contemplate how he has the power to bring grown men to tears in a futile search for meaning in a photograph of kids in green shirts.I found the picture fairly easily. I’m done except for Eaton Park. That one is frustrating the hell out of me,
ScroogeFuseInstead of a gift exchange, I need an answers exchange. Not just yet – but that picture is driving me bananas.
An answer exchange sounds good – picture for Eaton Park? If you still need it.
That picture. It wouldn’t be *that* simple and obvious would it? Or would Fuse be that Scroogetastic? I’m torn…
I don’t think it’s simple and obvious, since I’ve now figured out what team that is (and I thought it was that when first researching, but was thrown off until further research).
Now I’m just trying to find out what this team has to do with the holidays. Not easy so far.
Heh…heh…heh…
(returns to eating Christmas cookies)
OK, Andrew, I think I gonna give in. Lemme know what you need for Eaton Park and I’ll swap it for the team picture info (hoping it’s more than the team name, as I have that now).
Email link above. I think…
Dammit, I didn’t format that properly. Here.
