Agreed. I saw commercials where they trumpeted that it was “in HD”, and then saw the old SD black bars appear when it came on. But its obvious that the drawings held much more depth than the old SD could actually transmit…
I get sidelined by the spastic colors. I honestly don’t remember them being that bright.
Oddly (or maybe not), they make it more like my childhood memories of it, which were always very vivid. Then again, I’m the guy who asked for a VHS copy of it for Christmas when he was like 20 or so years old.
heh. yeah, I bought a copy on VHS in my late 20s, and bought it again on DVD in my late 30s.
