What you missed while spray painting your face…
- Everton wasted no time spending their Joleon Lescott money, splashing £10 million of it on Lokomotiv Moscow winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.
- In what might possibly just be a reiterated story from two weeks ago, West Ham looks set to complete a transfer for Bordeaux’s Marouane Chamakh.
- Barcelona looks set to sign Dmytro Chygrynskiy from Shakhtar Donetsk; the deal is dependant on the two clubs can coming up with an acceptable transfer fee and vowel cost.
- Martin O’Neill would like to bring Portsmouth’s Sylvain Distin to Aston Villa, while Manchester City’s already brought Barcelona’s Sylvinho to Goodison Park.
- When Fernando Torres scored last night, he completed a 20-to-1 parlay bet calling for Wayne Rooney, Emmanuel Adebayor, Didier Drogba, and himself to all net in their respective games. Outside of that bet, the goal was completely meaningless.
- Sol Campbell will join Sven-Göran Eriksson at the Notts County Retirement Club.
- And finally: Soccer may have it’s faults, but at least players don’t smuggle fake blood onto the field to trick referees.
I think you’re being a little harsh to Notts County. At least they signed the right Schmeichel to build for the future.
It’s possible I’m bitter today.
I’d still take Peter Schmeichel over a lot of the keepers in the EPL!
