The new face of AC Milan - Alex Pato
With Serie A kicking off this weekend, and La Liga being ready to go next weekend, the season is almost in full swing. The other good news is that Argentina’s league has been able to kick off, and yesterday saw Newell’s Old Boys (my World Football Manager team!) defeat Independiente, and Godoy defeated Gimnasia.
In looking over today’s television schedule, it strikes me that if one has the proper funding available, this is the best time in my life to be a soccer fan in America. I can remember when it was virtually impossible to find European soccer on television here, and the only matches that were broadcast were generally from Mexico and in Spanish. Now, when you look at today’s slate, you can watch all six English Premier League matches today if you so choose (and have Setanta and a good DVR). Both Serie A matches are on FSC. WPS has their championship game today at 4:00 PM EDT (which you’ll have to look for if you’re interested, it’s apparently on live on the local Fox Sports Nets, but not on FSC until 10:00 PM EDT). There’s a live match from Russia, tons of matches from Mexico, Brazil and Colombia. The world’s game is now available to you and that’s such a fantastic thing.
So, after the jump, we’ll have some links and the television schedule. That’s why you’re here, not to hear me prattle on about how awesome life is, right? Right. Click away, lads and lasses.

After reading a line with ‘womens soccer … hot German action,’ I clicked the link, but was disappointed by the lack of pictures.
Kenwyne Jones continues to demonstrate how he is the class of the forwards on the shitty teams.
What the hell is going on with FSC? They’re actually showing the sport instead of infomercials at all hours of the night. Tonight at 2am Central they’re showing live A-League.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot: ROONEY!! ROONEY!! ROONEY!!
It’s actually an infomercial in support of franchise-based soccer leagues. Sorry to break it to ya…
Anthony Stokes was an Arsenal junior that was on loan to some SPL club and scored back to back hat tricks. Then he transferred to the EPL and I never heard from him again. I guess the grass is greener up north
