• In other United news, Federico Macheda was robbed at his home by thieves on Sunday.
• Brazilian Cristiane scored the first hat-trick in WPS history last night as the Chicago Red Stars beat FC Gold Pride 3-1.
• In an effort to run a successful all-striker formation, Manchester City are closing in on Carlos Tevez and have been linked with Arsenal’s Emmanuel Adebayor.
• If they have their way, the captain of this “all striker” side will be none other than Chelsea skipper John Terry, who met with Roman Abramovich for two hours over the weekend about a contract extension amidst rumors of a transfer to City.
• Financial restraints are preventing Feyenoord from finding a new keeper.
• Liverpool have signed Chris Mavinga from Paris Saint-Germain and have re-upped with Moroccan winger Nabil El-Zhar; hopefully the former has more impact than the latter.
• Update your fantasy rosters: Wolves striker Chris Iwelumo broke his foot in training and will likely miss the start of the season.
• David Beckham watched as the Galaxy won 1-0 over Chivas USA (as opposed to when he was actually playing, where he would watch as the Galaxy lost). Beckham returns to training with the Galaxy today.
