It’s clear at this point that this Summer transfer season might be the most interesting of the last few years. With Florentine Perez in at Real Madrid, it will only take one domino push to get the entire thing going. Obviously, money will be an issue for some sides, as it’s clear that some will need to sell first before buying. On the other hand, there will always be clubs that ignore their books and decide that they want to go for it and spend more than they should. There are some big names in play, but those names actually might move instead of just being speculated on. Madrid and Barca will be linked with a ton of the big names as usual, the Big Four in England will be linked a lot, Spurs will be mentioned for just about everyone in the second tier, you get the idea. It’s a crazy time.
But before all that begins, there is the matter of the FA Cup Final today. I would gather that most neutrals will side with Everton and David Moyes today. The best part of this game is that with the regular season over for these sides, there is no reason to not play the best players available and truly go for this victory. I would imagine that this game is truly huge for certain players, but the one that leaps to mind is the replacement, on-loan striker for Everton, Jo. If he performs well in this match, Moyes could make a move to keep him. Given his failure at Manchester City, they might be interested in seeing the back of him. Chelsea will likely have most of their regulars, and this could be the last appearance for Didier Drogba and Ricardo Carvalho (who likely won’t play), both of whom have been rumoured to be heading elsewhere.

I’m pretty sure that Jo was cup-tied throughout the FA Cup, and so he was never eligible to take the field in the final.
