The faithful raise their hands in prayer
There aren’t too many more words one can write regarding Newcastle United’s current plight. By now, most fans of the Barclays Premier League know that Newcastle sit three points from safety with four games to play, including today’s clash at Anfield. Liverpool have been particularly ruthless lately against lesser opposition. Since the beginning of March, Liverpool have scored 21 goals in 7 games, while allowing 8. During those 7 games, they have 6 wins and one memorable 4-4 draw against Arsenal.
I fear for the Geordies today.

As talked about here, today is the finale in the Coca Cola Championship. Norwich City sit on the razor’s edge. On the ball, CITY!
Michael Owen isn’t afraid for the Geordies. He already knows what’s going to happen.
Prayers are not being answered anywhere. 2-nil at Anfield, and Norwich is down 3-nil to Charlton. Bad mojo all around.
3-0 to Liverpool, and Barton’s out on suspension for the rest of the season. The hits just keep on coming…
That was a sad performance by Newcastle, and Barton was deservedly sent off. I’ll be surprised if he’s not playing for some Blue Square Premier League side next season.
Shame about Norwich.
