fuse: I wish I had a "system" that good. My fear is that I will be doing well 3/4 of the way into the season, because, out of stupid competitiveness, I'll then actually try to figure out who should win or lose each game. On Monday I look at Ives's top 3 and bottom 3, hope I still remember them by the time the picks are due, and then, when they are, I just wing it, hoping not to pick a top 3 at home to lose, or a bottom 3 on the road to win. The Dynamo are the only team I think I have a real "read" on, and that's clearly not treated me well so far...(I think I may have gotten them all wrong so far)

From now on my picks will be made by Chet, my paint-huffing monkey. I will be drawing a grid with a square for each team on my living room floor, each time Chet passes out during the week and falls onto a team's square, they will be predicted to win. There are a few kinks to work out of this new system, but the important point is that I am no longer responsible for "my" picks.

I'm going to start predicting all draws, because clearly that's the majority of the results the last few weeks. Ben Olsen's goal in the second minute of stoppage time was painful. Especially since I was surrounded by a stadium of United fans at the time. Sigh. Tough luck Revs.
