So right now its a little slow in soccer land thanks to yet another Interlull (© Arseblogger). Yeah international matches are usually interesting, and it can be exciting when a player has a breakout performance for their country. We’re right in the heart of the season though, and you’re telling me we’ve got to take a break? Well I guess, if you say so. But what are you gonna do until club matches return? What if you’re a player and your country just doesn’t need you right now? Well we here at Avoiding The Drop are going to help you with finding some stuff to do if your team didn’t call you up or maybe you just aren’t a fan of international qualifiers.
For starters, you should probably hang out with your wife/girlfriend/whoever a little more. My guess is you’ve been neglecting her a little bit lately to watch soccer, why don’t you take her shopping and carry her bags to show how much you love her.

Maybe you want to really wow her and take her on a romantic vacation. Thats really sweet of you, just make sure she’s properly attired to fly the airplane.
This is a prime time for basketball over here in the states, why don’t you go check a game out. Don’t bother with one of those pesky tournament games though, go be seen at a Laker game, its what the cool kids do.

I’ve been meaning to talk to you about your car. Quite frankly, it looks a little boring. Why don’t you spruce it up with some sick rims? Talk to Stephen Ireland, he’ll set you up right.

Everyone could use a little extra cash these days, and whats the easiest way to get some extra money in your pocket? No more pesky rent or mortgage. You could move back in with your parents, or maybe they’re sick of you. In that case, check with some local department stores, maybe you can live there.![]()
Since its almost summer you might want to start thinking about getting yourself a tan so you can impress when you’re out on the beach. Make sure your shorts are short and reflective so you can get maximum sun on those legs, and bounce any precious sun rays back onto your beautiful self.
Maybe you’re not playing in your teams games because you’ve hurt yourself. Thats good, because that means you can work your second job as a mobster.
If you’re like me and live in Colorado, enjoy the blizzard, and have a snowball fight with your new, rich Brazilian friend.

So what are you doing to pass the time during the interlull? Lets hear it in the comments.
Thanks to the lovely ladies of Kickette for most of the pictures, and google images for the rest.
What are a “wife” or “girlfriend,” and where might I purchase one?
Are they similar to a PS3? Because I already have one of those and FIFA ’09.
Fantasy baseball draft prep, Rock Chalk Jayhawk KU for as long as possible, continue the quest to select a MLS team to root for. By proximity I got two – but being in MN, Chicago is not an option and KC is just…playing in a minor league baseball stadium. Go…uh, Sounders? Rapids? dunno…
jahawk90, what’s wrong with the USL-I Minnesota Thunder? If I’m reading their website correctly you can get tickets to the 15 home games for as little as $65!
I’m not even joking, I go to see most of my local USL-II team’s home matches and enjoy them very much.
Cleveland City Stars all the way!
Sadly, they don’t start until May.
@TheFuseProject
But they play in Blaine! You need to either live in Blaine, or leave a few days in advance to get there in time for a kickoff. (Actually, I might have to look into getting tickets this year.)
Oh yeah – we know all about the Thunder, they were a lot more accessible during the St. Paul years since we’re on the far southeast end of town. But now they’re back in Blaine – blargh. It’s a haul but we’ll make a few trips up, always a good time.
