I was trying to come up with a clever soccer-related name to call this, but the best I could come up with was “Out to Touch”, and that sounds kind of perverse when taken out of context.
Either way, these some of the tidbits I’ve found over the last couple of days that you may find interesting. Read on after the jump.
- Craig Bellamy did not travel to Denmark for Man City’s UEFA Cup clash with Aalborg on Thursday, which probably means he won’t play. [Sky Sports]
- Newcastle United will not be holding contract talks with players until they know whether or not they’ll be relegated. [The Guardian]
- In order to avoid dealing with their own corrupt referees, Poland may ask England’s own Howard Webb to officiate the Polish Cup Final. [The Guardian]
- This might be Man City’s 2009-10 jersey…or it might be a fake. It possibly could also be a Photoshop. We can all probably agree, though, that it’s ugly. [EPL Talk]
- In SAT analogy neews, Tim Vickery thinks that Brazil is to the Copa Libertadores what England is to the Champions League…and if anyone would know about Brazilian soccer, it’s Tim Vickery. [The BBC]
- Robbie Keane has no regrets about his move to Liverpool; Liverpool fans everywhere regret that he didn’t score more. [Fox Soccer]
- And, finally, from the “been there, done that” file: Real Madrid are considering making an offer for David Beckham. [Soccernet]
